Design
Wall lamps (sconces) used to illuminate mirrors can be made from different materials - glass or metal, including aluminum. Typically, the devices are installed in pairs on both sides of the reflector and attached using special brackets to the wall or glass frame.
Some mirrors come with built-in lights that can provide illumination from inside or outside. These lamps are mounted in the side parts or along the entire perimeter of an object hanging on the wall. A mirror with internal lighting is a universal product, therefore it has a fixed shape and overall dimensions. You can easily find an item that will fit perfectly into the overall interior of the room.
LED lamps and strips are characterized by increased electrical and fire safety, since they are covered with an aluminum frame. It performs both protective and decorative functions.
Minimum width of bathroom mirror
In the case of rectangular or rectangular mirrors, the minimum width of the mirror should be at least 30 cm, provided that you are viewing them from a distance no less than your fingertips. This is not free viewing, but it is the minimum width at which the average human figure will fit in the mirror. If we look at the mirror from a smaller distance, its width should be correspondingly larger. However, to see yourself in the mirror, we recommend a minimum width of 50 cm.
In the case of a round mirror, you must remember that its width is equal to its height, so 30 cm is not enough. The minimum width, and therefore the diameter, must be at least 40 cm. In a smaller mirror we will see a little more than our own face. In the case of households with a large difference in height, you should choose a much larger mirror - at least 70 cm.
In the case of oval mirrors, the above recommendations for rectangular and round mirrors should be taken into account. Therefore, the minimum size we recommend for an oval mirror is 50 cm wide and 70 cm high.
When choosing the size of the mirror, consider the width of the frame! The wider the frame, the smaller the useful part of the mirror. All the above tips do not take into account the width of the frame. When you have a lot of space, we can afford a mirror with an impressive wide frame. For a small room, it is better to choose a model with or without a narrow frame.
